NFL Week 8 Preview: By Stuart Tomlin Well, it’s that time of the week again. The Twickenham article goes on hold for now as I throw together my thoughts on the upcoming week of football. And it’s been a season of injuries, pain, and the Los Angeles Rams being responsible for blowing teams out. What the fuck is this season? I was at the game on Sunday, hence the upcoming Twickenham article, and my God, what the hell happened to the Cardinals? That team were in the NFC Championship two years ago. And the Colts got shutout by the fucking Jaguars. Sighhhhh. Anyway, I’m contracted to do this once again (and by contracted, I mean it’s my picks contest with Kyle). I’m slightly tired and very grouchy as I was out late last night and am on limited sleep. Was a fun night though, to be fair. Also a reminder that this weekend, the clocks go back, as the games kick off an hour earlier than normal, with the exception of Ravens-Dolphins which is 1.30am as normal. So it’s a 1
NFL Week 7 Review: By Kyle Balfour Another week, another round of NFL draws to a close. Oh, hello there! Once again, I shall be relieving Stuart of review duties so that we may continue to bring you some more lovely NFL review content! So a mighty impressive week of NFL has ended, and some captivating stories have come out of it. So let's dive right into it! Score wise, it was a much better week for predictions for both of us, with only a few teams letting us down (and embarrassing themselves while they were at it). Stuart leads with 50-41, while I begin to decline with 46-45. Oakland Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs Oakland Alameda Coliseum, Oakland, California Actual Result Raiders 31-30 Chiefs Kyle Said: Chiefs (0-1) Stuart Said: Chiefs (0-1) Game of the season thus far? Eh, it's close. While I prefer the more traditional offence-for-offence battle that the Niners/Rams offered, there is something just as enjoyable as the catharsis presented here in a very scrapp
By Stuart Tomlin Something different for this weekend, as this weekend marks my return to London for an NFL game. So, one from the Go For it On Fourth Archives (yes, we have archives!), a look back at my trip down to Wembley last season to see my own Colts play the Jaguars. This article was originally written by me and posted on the old Go For It On Fourth blog on the 6th of October 2016. Well, that was a bit of a weekend. This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to be able to travel down to the first game of the 2016 NFL International Series, once again held at Wembley Stadium in London. It’s an annual trip for me these days, as I like to attend one of the three games usually held over here. Due to monetary reasons, it’s always the case of picking and choosing which game to go to each year. This year’s choice of game was a no-brainer for me and had a lot of personal interest, as my own Indianapolis Colts were chosen as one of the teams to travel over to London, to face AFC
Week 7 Previews and Predictions - By Kyle Balfour So after a week of embarrassing predictions, I hope that I can remedy that by bouncing back this week with a few more picks. Either that, or I can continue the downward spiral, fully giving the impression that I am not an expert at these things... Bye Week Shout Outs  are minimal this week, going to only the Lions and the Texans. Enjoy your rest period, and remember to bench players from said teams for use in fantasy football. Nobody wants to be 'that guy' who leaves players on his team who are clearly on bye. Week 6's Betting Bastard of the Week  goes to none other than the Carolina Panthers, who looked primed to create an upset over the hot Philadelphia Eagles. Sadly, however, Cam Newton was too busy thinking about yogurts and butterflies and fell apart in the 4th quarter. You've got Chicago next. Don't blow it. Raiders vs Chiefs - Chiefs So the Raiders are currently in the dumps right now. 4 game losing s
Week 7 Preview: By Stuart Tomlin Turns out I’ve got more free time than I thought I had this week, so here’s your Week 7 preview. Thanks for Kyle for filling in this week again on the Review. Kinda glad I didn’t have to talk about Monday Night Football tbh. Yeah, that was brutal. And now Luck is out for an extended period of time. Is it time? START THE GLORIOUS TANK. Elsewhere, it was an entertaining week i n the NFL. I saw some of it in a bar in Aberdeen, then I moved to a different bar, and then watched MNF at my mate’s. Was an eventful week. Some bizarre scores. And Aaron Rodgers is out for the season now. The NFC North is wide open. Seriously, this is an injury-cursed season. Shall we begin? Oakland Raiders v. Kansas City Chiefs O.co Coliseum, Oakland, California Well, thanks very much Chiefs! I had a whole narrative ready to go about how the only undefeated team were going to continue their attempts to become the 1972 Miami Dolphins…or the second
