AFC Season Preview
- Kyle Balfour

Now it's time for the AFC Analysis!
AFC North - Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
This one's sadly easy - The Steelers. The Ravens are like a run down car: good when it actually works. The Browns are the Browns and are, as usual, inept at sorting out a good quarterback. This won't be the season Browns' fans were hoping for, but i see it as a step in the right direction. The Bengals should be fine this season, despite a lack of offensive line talent, meaning Andy Dalton will be destroyed by game 5. Even if he isn't, the Bengals can always restore cosmic balance to the world by bowing out in the wildcard game of the playoffs.
AFC South - Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Tennessee Titans.
Ahh, the underdog division (sorry, Stuart ðŸ’™). The Colts have a formidable offence, but STILL lack offensive line depth to protect Andrew Luck. The Titans are the true underdogs here, pulling a decent record last season so hopefully they can continue this trend. The Jags will be terrible this season. Completely and utterly bad. The Texans seem to be learning their tactics from the Browns: great key players, but are completely incompetent are finding a good QB.
It's a tough division in its own right. But, I'll go with the Colts. Not just for my brother in blue, but if they can keep Luck on his feet, they should be able to clinch it, but it's going to be close due to the competition inside the division.
AFC East - Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England P*******, and the New York Jets.
Jesus Christ. I honestly didn't think the AFC East could get any easier for the Pats. The Bills will regress from mediocre to downright bad, the Jets look absolutely terrible this season (probably the worst I've ever seen), and the dolphins lost their starting QB, and replaced him with Jay 'Doesn't care' Cutler. Inconsistency, thy team is the Dolphins.
AFC West - Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers (again, weird.), and the Oakland Raiders.
I think it's time for the Raiders to take it this season. Great core, with the addition of Marshawn Lynch, and as long as Derek Carr can survive injuries, I see the raiders not only taking their division, but being a formidable challenger for the AFC title. The Broncos still have a solid defence, but have an unproven selection at QB. It'll be a challenge for them. The Chargers will continue to underachieve and the Chiefs...eh, should do fine, in the most unspectacular and unmemorable way possible.
So there you have it, the rundown of every division, and my picks for the winner of each; but it's not over yet! we still have wildcard spots to pick! So let's get to it:
NFC Wildcard spots: Buccaneers and Cowboys.
Despite every molecule of my body telling me not to, I can't deny the talent the Dallas Cowboys have to offer. Incredible offensive line, Dez Bryant when he's on top form, and a reliable QB in Dak Prescott. Even without Elliot, I see the Cowboys managing to hold on until he returns.
As I mentioned previously, the Bucs are slowly becoming a decent team again. Good QB in Jamais Winston, fantastic WR Mike Evans, and strong RB Doug Martin. It's a solid team, whom I think can benefit from being in the NFC South and come out with a wildcard spot clinched.
AFC Wildcard Spots: Titans and Chiefs
The Titans are the true up and coming story from last year, and I see them capitalising on this to take a wildcard this season if they continue to improve.
The Chiefs, while a complete snore fest to watch, they're effective, so I see them taking the other wildcard.
So there it is: My complete predictions list for the NFC and AFC divisions. Now the only things that's left is to tune in a week on Sunday for the first game of the season, and watch me be horribly wrong with my selections.
Thanks for reading! - Kyle
