NFL Conference Championships Preview and Predictions: By Kyle Balfour

Here it is: the semi-finals! Better known as the Conference Championships! The last one standing in the AFC vs. New England (every damn year, these days...), and the best the NFC has to offer duel it out for the opportunity to try and beat the Patr-uh, I mean...whoever wins the AFC conference final in the Superbowl!

Show us the competitors!

AFC Game:
New England Patriots vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts
Winner: Who the fuck do you think?

Look, it's all fine and congratulatory that the Jaguars made it this far. After an utter slogfest with the Bills, and amusingly staving off a comeback attempt by the Steelers, due to the Steelers joining in far too late, but it's not gonna mean squat when they face a real opponent. One with a strong, if flawed, defence, and a stellar offence led by the fraud GOAT Tom Brady.

This is ultimately where I really, really wish the Jaguars had a real quarterback. If they did, I would honestly believe, and cheer, for them to win. Sadly, I just don't see it. Even with that stellar defence, Tom Brady is the benchmark for many defence-men in the league.

Do I want to be wrong? oh, fuck yes! ANYTHING to have a Superbowl without the fucking Patriots. Prediction speaking, however, it's the P*****ts.

NFC Game:
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Minnesotta Vikings
Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Winner: Vikings

Both of these starting quarterbacks were on the Jeff Fischer "forever 7-9" St. Louis Rams...feels like an eternity ago, don't it?

So a stumbling Eagles fends off a half ass Falcons, whilst the Vikings propel themselves over the Saints in a game for the ages. Seriously, go and watch the highlights, at least. It's a truly memorable game. I've still got goosebumps.

So who have I got for this? Well, I'm biased as fuck on this, but I do think the Vikings can do it. It's strong defence vs. strong defence; the battle of the brick walls. It all depends on who's made of better mortar. Run game won't count for much, since both of these defensive units are near impossible to get through, so I can see this game being very throw happy, which I think Case Keenum will have the advantage over.

There we go! The stage is almost set!
