Week 4 Preview and Predictions - By Kyle Balfour Well, holy shit! That was certainly a wacky week of NFL. Handful of prediction upsets, plus a ton of surprising turn of events presented to us. Now, we look forward to the bountiful Week 4, where we can pray to the football gods that the New York Giants can finally grant us with a goddamn win! Onto Week 4! As usual: Betting Bastard of the Week shall go to none other than the 'mighty' Baltimore Ravens. That potent offence and reliable defence feel to absolute ass against the JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS ! Holy mother of god, you know Wembley Stadium is cursed when it can make the Jags look like Superbowl contenders! Good grief...but in any case, let's look ahead to week 4's matchups! Packers vs Bears - Packers I already predicted this ahead of time, but it went exactly as I thought it would. Aaron Rodgers torched the Bears, and Mike Glennon has all but set the stage for Mitch Trubisky to start. Hey, he's gotta be bette

Week 4 Preview: By Stuart Tomlin Okay, no politics this time. I promise. We go into Week 4 off the back of an eventful week for the NFL, especially off the field. However, on the field it was a sensational and fun week, and I’m not just saying this because the Colts actually won a game this past week. Honest. Controversial finishes, close games, comebacks, almost comebacks, overtimes, and so much more. Was a really fun week for all us NFL fans. Except maybe the Ravens. That one was painful. My fantasy team won this week, putting me at a 1-2. Thanks for the game, Mike. Dave Duncan Jr., current Champion and a previous guest on our show, is my opponent this week in the Gentleman’s League. Should be a fun one. Kyle sits at 28-19 and I’m at 26-21. Let’s turn this around, shall we? As always, all times BST. 1.30am Friday 29 th September (Thursday 28 th in US) Green Bay Packers v. Chicago Bears Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin The Packers and the Bears me

Week 3 Review: By Stuart Tomlin What a week for the NFL. After a much better than expected Thursday Night game, we went into the weekend looking forward to some more NFL action, including the first Wembley game. And then Donald Trump opened his mouth with his divisive “Son of a Bitch” comments at his stroke-his-ego rallies (why does a sitting President need to have rallies three years before a re-election campaign?) and the NFL stood up – or rather took a knee – and locked arms against him. Some people chose to boycott the NFL because of this. And they missed a sensational week because of it. I’m not big on mixing politics and sports, but we’re long past the point of “Stick to politics/stick to sport”. When someone like Donald Trump makes comments about our sport – the athletes in our sport have to stand up against this. You know my views by now – I do not like Donald Trump – and we here at Go For It On Fourth will never support or condone any kind of racism, sexism, transp

Football’s Coming Home…well, sort of By Marc Rafferty FOOTBALLS COMING HOME…well, closer to home for me than a trip to Maryland. As a fan of the Ravens, I’ve been fortunate enough to have been able to have been at a couple of games at ‘The Bank’. The first of those was due to a loving girlfriend, who was happy to cut short a week in New York down to 4 days, before we flew to Orlando so that we could fit in 3 days in Baltimore and Philly as the Ravens were playing a Thursday night game against the team from the Factory of Sadness, the Cleveland Browns. A special mention should go to Viki who puts up with all my NFL chat, I’m sure there are many other halves who are in the exact same position. So, from us all, thank you! Haha. As the Ravens are due to play this Sunday in London, I thought I would tell the story of my first trip to Baltimore to see the Ravens play. I love evening/night games. Whether its walking along King Street in Aberdeen and turning down onto Merkland Ro

Week 3 Preview and Predictions - By Kyle Balfour With Week 2 out of the way, and with Stuart and myself settled into the season nicely, with both our motivations being tested by our damnable teams, we attempt to harness some optimism heading into Week 3. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! You're Week 2 Go For It On Fourth Betting Bastard of the Week is none other than the Indianapolis Colts! What an upset that was: to have it set, and taken away in the second half; to have the last minute field goal by the Cardinals missed, only to have it scored in overtime, was a big disappointment. Onwards and upwards though! Seeing as how it can't possibly get any worse if the Colts lose to the Browns in their home Stadium...which they shouldn't...I hope...Uhh... S-s-so without further ado, let's get into it! Starting with tonight's big Thursday night game: 49ers vs Rams - Rams And by big, I mean big disappointment! So, ok, maybe I was a little over my head selectin

Week 3 Preview: By Stuart Tomlin Gonna start this week by once again congratulating my fantasy opponent, this time it was Marc Rafferty beating me by three points. Damn you Matt Stafford. Or me putting in Marlon Mack instead of Frank Gore, or Doug Baldwin for Michael Thomas. Regardless, well done on the win. Michael Haliburton, you’re next bud to put me down to 0-3. Anyways, we’re at week 3 in the NFL, and so far, personally as a Colts fan, it’s been pretty brutal. As a fan of the NFL…last week was pretty brutal as well. Let’s hope for a better week. Kyle and I are currently level on the Prediction Standings at 18-13. Shall we begin? 1.30am Friday 22 nd September (Thursday 21 st in US) San Francisco 49ers v. Los Angeles Rams Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, California The Thursday Night Football Cavalcade of Fun (Patent Pending) rolls onto to San Francisco, well technically Santa Clara, for this NFC West matchup. And this time it’s the Niners against the Ram
