On Thursday night (or Friday morning if you’re in the Europe) fans of every NFL team will eagerly watch to see what will be waiting under the tree this year…will you get what you want? Thursday night I waited up and watched the New York Jets new uniform and logo unveiling. The show started at 0:30 our time and, after a full 30 minutes of bad stand up by J.B. Smoove, a musical performance by Max (no, me neither) and speeches in which a team who play in New Jersey tried to tell us the incapsulate everything it is to be from New York, the Jets new look was finally revealed…again…because we’d all already seen it after it was leaked on twitter the day before. So, let’s take a look at this new “identity”, as Nike like to call it, piece by piece. LOGO That took 5 years. Look, it’s not that I don’t like the logo, It’s just hard to get excited when the only real change is the word ‘New York’ replacing the letters ‘NY’.
